USC players barely came off the court after a draining four-overtime victory over Arizona on Saturday night and some familiar questions already started.
The Trojans (14-3) are a national surprise and projected as an NCAA Tournament team, but the bigger question is whether they can beat crosstown rival UCLA at Pauley Pavilion on Wednesday night.
USC coach Andy Enfield is 0-5 against the Bruins, and although he avoids making any interesting comments about the rivalry, there is always an extra significance because he was hired at the same time as UCLA coach Steve Alford.
For USC to truly arrive, it needs to beat its archrival.
