USC basektball preview: Trojans improving, but how much?

USC basketball will be better this year because it is almost impossible for the Trojans to be worse than the first two years under Andy Enfield.

But if you want an objective way to measure possible improvement, here is one: Last year, about five NBA scouts visited preseason practices. This year, around 25 scouts have visited USC, especially intrigued to see freshmen forwards Bennie Boatwright and Chimeze Metu.

“We’re not making any predictions,” Enfield said. “So we’re not here to say we’re going to win a certain amount of games. We’re just trying to do our best and improve.
