The USC Baseball team's season came to a close after the Trojans failed to qualify for the College World Series. The Trojans (28-28, 15-15) followed up last year's turnaround season with a subpar one.
Entering the season many expected the Trojans to compete for the PAC-12 title after finishing in third, with an 18-12 conference record, last season. Unfortunately, the Trojans were never able to capture any momentum in the 2016 season.
The Men of Troy dropped two of three to North Dakota to open the season before winning five of their next seven games. The Trojans opened the PAC-12 season with a series victory, defeating the California Golden Bears 2-1.
