Eight Trojans earned Pac-12 Conference Honors this morning, headlined by catcher Garrett Stubbs who became the first USC player to be named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. Stubbs, who was also named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, led the conference by throwing out 54% of base stealers and had a .993 fielding percentage. Stubbs was named a Johnny Bench Award Semifinalist last week.
Also named to First-Team: Dante Flores, Timmy Robinson, and Bobby Stahel. The Trojans four first-team selections were the most since 2002.
Flores hit a career-high .355 during the regular season and had five home runs (career-high) with 41 RBIs, including an RBI in his last nine games of the regular season.
