The experience of playing in Dodger Stadium is not new for the USC and UCLA baseball teams, but it’s one that doesn’t get old either.
UCLA and USC face off Sunday in the annual Dodger Stadium College Baseball Classic at 3 p.m. The crosstown rivals play the afternoon session of the two-game event after Michigan and San Diego play in the early game at 11 a.m.
“It’s special,” USC head coach Dan Hubbs said of playing in Dodger Stadium. “It doesn’t matter if you’ve done it 15 times or three. ... The chance for them to compete in a stadium as iconic and historic as Dodger Stadium, for a lot of guys who grew up in Southern California, is an unbelievable experience.
