The L.A. Memorial Coliseum Gets A New Name (per report)

According to a report by Sports Business Daily United Airlines has purchased the naming rights to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a record $70 million over the next 15 years. At $4.7 million a year, the deal is the largest of it’s kind for a college football stadium.

FOX Sports – a partner with USC – has been attempting to sell the naming rights since 2015, and the revenue generated from the sale is expected to help offset the cost of the 270 million dollar renovation the Coliseum is currently undergoing.

Although it is unclear how United’s name will be attached to the stadium, FOX Sports and USC School officials have indicated that the name will still include the “Memorial Coliseum.
