USC, UCLA, NC State and Texas A&M remain in the running to sign Moss. His top six had included Georgia, Nebraska and Arizona State.
The 6-foot-3 tight end from Mallard Creek in Charlotte, North Carolina unofficially visited USC in November when the Trojans beat UCLA at the Coliseum. He had been offered by Steve Sarkisian’s staff in April last year.
Moss is ranked No. 16 by the 247Sports composite among tight ends in the 2016 class. He is the 17th in North Carolina.
USC has worked hard to fill the gaps at tight end after losing Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick to academic issues, Bryce Dixon to a student-conduct problem and Randall Telfer to graduation but they could still use bodies at the position.
