Former USC coach Steve Sarkisian is returning to college football.
Sarkisian will join the staff at Alabama as an offensive analyst, the team confirmed Monday.
“We’re glad to have him as a part of the organization,” Alabama coach Nick Saban told reporters at a news conference. “Hopefully, he’ll be able to get back on his feet professionally and this will be beneficial to him.”
USC fired Sarkisian after five games last October following a string of alcohol-related incidents and other behavior.
Sarkisian, 42, filed a multi-million dollar wrongful termination lawsuit against the university in December, alleging he was not allowed to seek treatment for alcoholism.
