Stanford has a 24-21 halftime lead against USC at the Coliseum on Saturday after Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan fired a 17-yard touchdown pass to Devon Cajuste with three seconds left in the first half to put the Cardinal ahead.
Facing little pressure from the USC defensive line, Hogan was 13-of-17 passing for 221 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. The Cardinal outgained the Trojans 322-279.

The Trojans quickly challenged the typically physical Stanford defense and beat the Cardinal at its own game. USC ran on five of its first seven plays to open the game and took a 7-0 lead on a 5-yard touchdown run from Tre Madden.
