Silas Redd’s short-lived NFL career may be over. The Washington Redskin running back and former USC Trojan was suspended indefinitely by the NFL Tuesday after violating the league’s substance abuse policy for the second time in less than a year.
“Silas Redd of the Washington Redskins has been suspended indefinitely without pay for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. Redd’s suspension begins immediately,” read the statement from the NFL.
Redd was suspended for four games in November of the 2015 season for a similar violation, though he was on injured reserve at the time because of a torn ACL he suffered during the preseason.
