The final piece of USC Basketball’s 2017 NBA Draft concerns may finally be back in the fold.
Redshirt sophomore guard Shaqquan Aaron is set to return for his second season in Troy, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported on Wednesday, the deadline to withdraw from the NBA Draft pool.
Aaron had entered the NBA Draft at the end of March, but he declined to hire an agent. In doing so, he left his options open to return to school.
Considered a fringe prospect when he declared, Aaron was unsurprisingly not invited to the NBA Combine.
The player had an up-and-down season in 2016-17, his first year of eligibility since transferring from Louisville in 2015.
