The first round of cross-positional battles in the RoT Madness tournament proved that not all positions are created equal.
Finalists from the Downfield, Pocket, Backfield and Front regions faced off with surprisingly lopsided results. Despite a field of eight Trojan legends, the winners of each match up prevailed by a margin of no less than 75 percent of the votes.
The biggest victory belonged to safety Ronnie Lott, who trampled over Keyshawn Johnson with better than 90 percent of votes.
The closest battle was waged between defensive stalwarts Junior Seau and Leonard Williams, but even that was far from a tight result.
