Every Trojan has the same assessment of freshman running back Ronald Jones II: He has no idea how good he is.
“Not even a tad bit,” fellow USC tailback Justin Davis said.
Jones is as modest as they come. But he runs with a ferocity that belies his humility. And America is discovering how good Jones is, even if he has no clue.
Jones rushed for a USC freshman-record 177 yards last week against Arizona, including a signature 74-yard touchdown. Heading into Friday’s game at Colorado, Jones is within striking distance of the Trojans’ single-season freshman record, held by Charles White.
