Mililani quarterback Dillon Gabriel spent his senior season breaking Tua Tagovailoa’s state record for passing yards in Hawaii. Now, the three-star quarterback is a member of the UCF Knights.
Gabriel picked UCF over USC football and Georgia on Wednesday, denying the Trojans an Early Signing Day boost at quarterback.
The Hawaii Gatorade Football Player of the Year for 2018-19, Gabriel passed for 3,754 yards and 38 touchdowns with 13 interceptions as a senior. Despite setting the new state record for passing with 9,848 yards and 105 touchdowns in his career, he didn’t garner much major college football recruiting attention until late.
