Penn State's front seven might be USC's stiffest test since Alabama

CARSON – In Alabama’s drubbing of USC on Labor Day weekend, the Crimson Tide’s front seven feasted on the Trojans’ offensive line, sacking then-quarterback Max Browne three times.

Alabama’s pass rushers swarmed the backfield and outmaneuvered the Trojans’ tackles and interior linemen. Often, it looked like they were quicker. Or they were at least overwhelming. At one point late in the first quarter, outside linebacker Ryan Anderson lined up in a three-point stance, shot forward and made a cut quick to his right. Zach Banner, the colossal USC right tackle, could not follow and rolled a few yards in the opposite direction.
