Penn State football gets comfortable on West Coast before Rose Bowl

ANAHIEM >> When USC earned its bid to the Rose Bowl Game, Trojan cornerback Adoree’ Jackson breathed a sigh of relief. Not only would he get to play in the program’s first Rose Bowl since 2009, but it meant that he got to stay home.

“I was just sick of traveling,” Jackson said. “Tired of traveling. When they said we were going to the Rose Bowl, I was happy because we didn’t have to go anywhere. Just pack a suitcase and go to the hotel and have a new bed every day.”

While USC is just a short car ride away from home this week at the Rose Bowl, Penn State took a six-hour plane ride from State College to Los Angeles for this week’s bowl festivities, which started Tuesday at Disney California Adventure.
