TEMPE, Ariz. – Just call it a turnover turnaround.
Heading into a must-win game at Arizona State, USC coach Steve Sarkisian practically begged his defense to force more turnovers after eight consecutive quarters without one. With the heat turned up on the Trojans in more ways than one, they went out and did it.
USC took the ball away from ASU repeatedly – and might have saved its season in the process. Parlaying four-first half takeaways into a 35-point lead, the Trojans cruised past the Sun Devils, 42-14, Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium.
