Stephania Haralabidis can already see it.
In her mind, when the final whistle blows in Sunday’s NCAA women’s water polo championship, the USC junior who leads the Trojans in scoring will start crying tears of joy. She’ll rush to hug her teammates. She’ll tell her she loves them.
She’ll be a national champion.
“I’ve been having trouble sleeping because I’ve been thinking about getting into the moment, playing the last game,” Haralabidis said in advance of this weekend’s NCAA tournament, which will be at UCLA’s Spieker Aquatics Center from Friday to Sunday.
There are three games standing between the top-seeded Trojans, who own a perfect 23-0 record heading into the tournament, and the championship trophy.
