Running backs and fullbacks completed their bench press at the NFL Combine Friday morning with Tre Madden and Soma Vainuku finishing among the top performers.
Nebraska’s Andy Janovich and Northwesterns Dan Vitale topped the group with 30 reps each, while Vainuku finished third with 26.
At running back, the top number went to Georgia’s Keith Marshall, but Madden was not far behind at 24 to finish second in the group.
Both Trojan backs should be pleased with their numbers in that area, though their NFL prospects are not necessarily linked to strength. Madden has proven to be an adept and strong runner, but injury issues have plagued his entire college career.
