National Signing Day is just around the corner and USC has already gotten things rolling with the commitment of three star safety Dorian Hewett. The Houston prospect announced his commitment on Tuesday evening. He was originally supposed to make his choice on Wednesday morning. Hewett also had offers from Washington, Utah, and Syracuse.
Hewett is rated as a three-star and is ranked as the 172nd safety in the 2019 class and ranked 1,510 overall nationally according to the 247 Sports Composite. At 6’1, 190, Hewett is versatile to play both safety and nickel cornerback position. He also brings some leadership to the Trojans secondary as he also made defensive calls from his safety position during North Shore’s 16-0 state championship season.
