The nation’s capital isn’t a noted football pipeline —only three USC football players have hailed from DC all-time, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Wood— but the Trojans may have found their man in Washington-native and newest commitment Mychale Salahuddin.
He announced his commitment to USC on Twitter over various schools including Wisconsin, Pitt and Michigan, just three weeks after announcing a Top 11:
At 5-foot-10 and 193 pounds, the four-star Salahuddin ranks as the nation’s fourth-highest rated all-purpose back and the 229th overall recruit. He rushed for 1,060 yards on 107 carries as a junior, including 92 all-purpose yards in the DCSAA Class AA championship game.
