Clay Helton’s USC Trojans have finally bagged their first commitment of the 2019 recruiting class, getting a verbal commitment from three-star wide receiver Munir McClain out of J. Serra Catholic in San Juan Capistrano.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound receiver is the younger brother of Abdul-Malik McClain, an edge rusher and incoming signee in the Trojans’ 2018 recruiting class. Munir ranks as the 432nd overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite and the 53rd-ranked prospect in the state of California.
He announced his commitment via Twitter:
Though McClain is the first recruit to pledge his name towards USC’s 2019 recruiting class, the Trojans are in the mix for a slew of prospects, particularly of the local variety.
