It seems new running backs coach Mike Jinks won’t be leaving USC football to follow Kliff Kingsbury to Arizona after all, as the Cardinals tapped James Saxon to coach their backs.
“New Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury snagged one of the best to tutor his running backs: former Steelers RB coach James Saxon,” NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala tweeted on Monday afternoon.
When Kingsbury departed USC to take the Cardinals head coaching position, it was expected he would also take Jinks with him. However, Jinks now appears likely to stick around Los Angeles, unless the Trojans’ new offensive coordinator decides to go in a different direction.
