USC football’s strong recruitment of the state of Hawaii continued on Wednesday as the Trojans secured the signature of Maninoa Tufono.
The four-star linebacker will become the fifth ever letterman at USC from Punahou, but he will have plenty of company from his home state, joining fellow Hawaii-products Jordan Iosefa, Vavae Malepeai and Kana’i Mauga.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound inside linebacker committed to USC in August, but there were serious questions about the strength of his pledge as the 2018 season wore on.
In the end, the Trojans were able to bring Tufono back into the fold and it’s a good thing they did.
