It’s always a good time to sign a quarterback, and Clay Helton did just that thing Wednesday morning, inking the signature of Kedon Slovis, out of Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The three-star recruit committed to the Trojans back in May, and has held steady despite Helton’s eye for the 2020 class and a rocky 2018 season that saw USC finish 5-7.
Sports360AZ reporter Jordan Hamm confirmed Slovis’ signing at his high school Signing Day ceremony.
The Skinny
The nation’s 26th-ranked quarterback, Slovis brings moderate size for a pocket passer, at 6-foot-2, 186 pounds.
