Saturday night at the newly renovated Coliseum started with a bang but the season opener quickly turned sour for USC. With the Trojans looking to extend a 17-10 lead over Fresno State late in the second quarter, starting quarterback JT Daniels was injured on a sack.
The sophomore was hit, fumbled and lost the ball, with his right leg seemingly buckling at the knee underneath him. He was carried off the field while being unable to put any weight or stress on the leg.
The severity of the injury won’t be known until after the game, but it comes at a pivotal time for USC.
