The high school football season has begun and Clay Helton’s USC football recruiting class is celebrating with a new commitment. It’s three-star offensive lineman Jonah Monheim.
He announced the move Saturday afternoon on Twitter.
“For this next chapter in life, I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Southern California,” he wrote via the Notes app.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pounder hails from Moorpark High School in Moorpark, and ranks as the 25th offensive guard in the 2020 class. Despite his three-star ranking, Monheim sports offers from a slew of elite programs with high-profile offensive lines, including Oklahoma and Alabama.
