Defensive lineman Oluwole Betiku from Gardena Serra High announced his commitment to USC on Friday.
“Thankful to God, Family and football, I will be a Trojan fighting on to greatness at USC #FightOn,” Betiku wrote on Twitter.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Betiku was once committed to UCLA. Before his commitment to the Bruins, USC did not make his list of top five schools.
A native of Nigeria, Betiku has made official visits to Florida State, Texas A&M and Notre Dame. He also made an official visit to USC earlier this month.
Trojans Coach Clay Helton has not announced a defensive staff since firing coordinator Justin Wilcox, line coach Chris Wilson and secondary coach Keith Heyward after the Pac-12 championship game.
