Former USC quarterback Max Browne has announced he will transfer to Pittsburgh.
Browne is a graduate transfer, meaning he won’t have to sit out a year and can use his final season of eligibility immediately.
Browne was the top high school quarterback recruit in the nation when he committed to USC in 2012. After a redshirt season behind starter Matt Barkley, Browne spent two seasons as the backup to Cody Kessler.
He started USC’s first three games this season before Coach Clay Helton replaced him with Sam Darnold.
