Former USC greats Polamalu, Carrier on College Football Hall of Fame ballot

Former USC safeties Troy Polamalu and Mark Carrier are on the ballot for the class of 2018 of the College Football Hall of Fame.

Polamalu, who debuted on the ballot last season, was an All-American in 2001 and 2002. He led the Trojans to the Orange Bowl, their first major bowl berth in almost a decade, following the 2002 season, the second under former Coach Pete Carroll.

He was drafted the next year by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he would win two Super Bowls and make eight Pro Bowls over a celebrated 12-year NFL career.

Carrier, who played for USC from 1987-89, has appeared on the ballot each year since 2011 and first appeared in 2004.
