It’s been 150 days since Kenechi Udeze was one of several assistants let go by Clay Helton’s USC football program. But the former All-American and defensive line coach has finally found a near-perfect fit: Ed Orgeron’s LSU Tigers.
According to a NOLA.com report, Udeze is joining Orgeron—his recruiter, former coworker and former position coach— as a defensive analyst in Baton Rouge.
Udeze was USC’s defensive line coach for three seasons under Clay Helton, helping the Trojans win a Rose Bowl and a Pac-12 Championship before a disastrous 5-7 campaign in 2018 that caused a shakeup in the coaching staff.
