It’s an unfortunate reality for college football fans that the better your team is, the more likely you are to see talented underclassmen depart for the NFL Draft.
USC football knows that all too well. Four Trojan juniors declare for the 2018 NFL Draft and three of those number heard their name called at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
The Trojans have produced stellar early entrants like Sam Darnold and Adoree’ Jackson, but there have been cautionary tales like Deontay Burnett and Damien Mama who departed with eligibility remaining and went undrafted.
And so the cycle continues, with good decisions and questionable choices in equal number.
