Final: USC overcomes slow start to topple Arizona, 38-30

LOS ANGELES – JuJu Smith-Schuster did his part. USC’s leading receiver – and perhaps its toughest player – suited up five days after having surgery for a broken hand. Not only did Smith-Schuster play against Arizona on Saturday night, but he played phenomenally.

It took the rest of the Trojans awhile to match Smith-Schuster’s tenacity. After stumbling through a shaky start, USC finally raised its intensity level and found its footing. The result was an at-times underwhelming 38-30 victory over the Wildcats in front of a homecoming crowd of 76,309 at the Coliseum – but a victory nonetheless.
