Expectations are high for Adoree' Jackson as USC opener nears

USC coach Steve Sarkisian says defensive back Adoree' Jackson, left, has a competitive fire that gives the coach confidence that the versatile sophomore, who also plays receiver and returns kickoffs and punts, can handle any role.

LOS ANGELES – Adoree’ Jackson seemed frustrated at times during Wednesday’s USC practice. He fired a football into a nearby wall at Howard Jones Field after getting shoved out of bounds and into the turf. He punted the ball back toward the line of scrimmage after dropping a long pass. And he clapped his hands after failing to hang on to a sure interception.
