LOS ANGELES — Former USC athletic director Pat Haden was hospitalized Tuesday after experiencing lightheadedness, a school spokesman confirmed.
Haden was said to be alert and talking.
USC Annenberg Media, a student-run online publication, first reported Haden was taken from campus in an ambulance, citing an eyewitness account. He was seen sitting upright on a stretcher.
Haden, who had worked as the school’s athletic director since 2010, stepped down earlier this year and was replaced in July by Lynn Swann.
He has remained at USC on a one-year term to guide the $270-million renovations of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
