On the eve of Signing Day 2019, USC football continued to round out the class of 2019 with the commitment of Dorian Hewett.
The three-star safety announced his decision on Tuesday night on Twitter, posting a graphic with a couple of simple messages: “#FightOn” and “Committed.”
Standing 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Hewett ranks No. 1,512 nationally in the 247Sports composite and 190th in the state of Texas. Among safeties he is 127th.
While he won’t light up the recruiting board, he did show quick closing speed and hard-hitting ability as he and his teammates won the Texas Class 6A Division I state championship with undefeated North Shore High School in 2018.
