LOS ANGELES — Bolu Olorunfunmi doesn’t mean to gush about his new running backs coach. But can you really blame the rising junior? DeShaun Foster is, after all, a UCLA legend.
“I don’t want to sound like a fan boy,” Olorunfunmi said bashfully, after he admitted to watching Foster’s film from both UCLA and Tustin High.
Foster, who led the Pac-10 in rushing as a senior in 2001, returned to Westwood this spring to take over a struggling running backs group that fell into disarray in 2016. The former UCLA star inherits one of the program’s worst rushing offenses, but has confidence the group is in for a big bounce-back season.
