Former USC wide receiver Curtis Conway attended practice this week and said he did not think Coach Steve Sarkisian’s problems affected the team.
Conway, currently an analyst with the Pacific-12 Network, said drama is part of every team and does not need to influence what happens on the field.
“You see things all the time,” said Conway, who played in the NFL for 12 years. “In our locker rooms, no one was perfect. We hear things and take it with a grain of salt. If it wasn’t happening on the field, don’t worry about it.”
Conway said he used to marvel at USC practices under Pete Carroll, when he could speak to players during the workouts without it being a distraction.
