LOS ANGELES – Tight end Bryce Dixon appears to be on his way back to the USC football team.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Wednesday ordered USC to stay its expulsion of the talented sophomore, seemingly clearing the way for Dixon to return to the school and team.
Judge Robert H. O’Brien issued the ruling after Dixon and attorney Mark Hathaway filed a petition to appeal Dixon’s expulsion from the school in May because of sexual misconduct.
The expectation in Dixon’s camp is that the judge’s ruling will allow Dixon to re-enroll in school and rejoin the football team soon after.
