The 2020 college football season has officially been cancelled by the Pac-12 as all athletic competition can start no earlier than January 1, 2021. No sports in the fall, no USC Trojans returning to the gridiron in 2020. No other fall sports returning to their fields, stadiums, courts or arenas either.
While all the talk on Tuesday was from the Pac-12 themselves, USC head football coach Clay Helton issued a statement rather quickly, following the news.
“Today, guided by the recommendations of our doctors and medical professionals, the Pac-12 Conference has decided to postpone the 2020 football season.
