Backyard Fullerton grove supplies Orange Clementine business

Fullerton resident Clementina Eley was a small child when she moved with her family from Mexico to California in 1974. Orange County at the time overflowed with orange trees.

“We drove into Santa Ana and were overwhelmed by the scent of orange blossoms,” she recalled.

That first impression determined the course her future business would follow: Orange Clementine was born, baking up orange and lemon cakes and cookies that “taste like sunshine,” as the website exclaims.

“My business partner, Diane Parent, grew up with Northern California winters, and she had similar memories, picking apricots and almonds, growing up in an agricultural environment,” Eley said.
