TULSA, Okla. – They huddled and hugged.
After capping an improbable 17-point comeback to top Providence in an NCAA Tournament play-in game late Wednesday, USC’s coaches and players gathered in a cramped red locker room at UD Arena.
“We were all happy,” junior guard Jordan McLaughlin said, “jumping around cheering.”
Andy Enfield, the fourth-year coach, had finished addressing the team, praising them for their turnaround. Before they split, McLaughlin got their attention. Emotions stirred. He and others wanted to dedicate the victory to Madeleine Bahar, the late sister of Martin Bahar, the Trojans’ scouting director.
