USC had been waiting for junior quarterback Cody Kessler to have a breakout game, and he finally came through tonight against Colorado. The Trojan signal-caller completed 19 of his 26 pass attempts for 319 yards and a USC record seven touchdowns.
What's even more special about Kessler's performance is that it all came in just three quarters of work. On top of the USC single-game record, he also set the Pac-12 record for most touchdowns thrown in the first three quarters of a game (USC was leading 56-21 after the third).
Star wide receiver Nelson Agholor seemed to benefit the most from Kessler's performance, who had 128 yards and three touchdowns on just six catches. USC went on to win the game by a final score of 56-28.
