UNLV Football announced Tony Sanchez is fired as head coach, meaning it is now searching for the next UNLV head coach. So who are the top candidates to replace Tony Sanchez as the Rebels head coach? We’ve got the top UNLV targets and some realistic options.
There are some more notable names UNLV could hire, like Hawaii head coach Nick Rolovich, former UCLA head coach Jim Mora and former Arizona State head coach Todd Graham, but is the UNLV job good enough to merit that type of name? Proven coaches should be high on UNLV’s head coach candidate list and there are several who make sense. They are at FCS schools, but Sacramento State’s Troy Taylor and Weber State’s Jay Hill would be quality hires for a smaller FBS program like UNLV.
