The UNLV women’s soccer team lost what could have been a mighty comeback after Wyoming pulled ahead in overtime. Though the Rebels killed Wyoming’s 1-0 lead in the 85th minute, the Cowgirls found the net once again before overtime ended.
The 2-1 loss drops UNLV to 10-6-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the Mountain West. Wyoming improved to 11-3-4 overall and 6-2-2.
The Rebels had their second lowest shooting output of the season, having been outshot 16-6.
The last time UNLV lost in overtime was Oct. 20 of last year. Utah State pulled ahead with a final score of 2-1, as well.
