Despite finishing with a strong overall record of 19-12 last season and a top-2 finish in the Mountain West Conference, the Rebel’s women’s team 2018-2019 season began with a misstep.
It wasn’t a great or even good start to the season by any means, but in losing their opening game of the season 68-52 at home Friday night inside of the Cox Pavilion to Wright State University, the Rebels showed character and managed to win the final quarter of play.
After being outscored 54-37 through three quarters, the team took the fourth by a point, 15-14, to close the game with some momentum to carry into their next game against the University of California-Irvine.
