UNLV’s volleyball team has ran its most current win-streak to eight games as the team improved to 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play after securing a 3-1 win over the Utah State Aggies Saturday, Sept. 22.
The win snaps a two-match losing streak to the Aggies dating back to last season. With the victory UNLV is now 11-3 overall, sending Utah State to 2-11.
After dropping the first set to the Aggies, 25-23, the Rebels settled in and won the next three consecutive sets (25-20, 25-17, 25-23) to capture the win.
Head coach Dawn Sullivan said, “I feel that we came out a bit sloppy; there wasn’t the attention to the details and we didn’t take care of the balls that we needed to.
