The Mountain West selected UNLV sophomore Patrick McCaw as its Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The a 6-foot-7 guard from St. Louis led the Rebels with a 20.8 points, 5 assists and 3.8 steals a game in four games, including an upset of then-No. 14 ranked Indiana.
It was the first such honor for McCaw and the first for the Rebels this season.
McCaw's best performance of the week came during that victory over Indiana during the Maui Invitational. He scored a a game-high 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting, added a team-high six assists and made a game-high five steals, which tied his college best.
