Coming off a disappointing loss in which the UNLV Rebels women’s tennis team fell to Stanford 4-1, the home team struck back and defeated the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks 4-2. The win pushes the team’s overall record to 8-4 on the season.
“The conditions were tough today and NAU is a very good team,” head coach Kevin Cory said. “They outplayed us in doubles so I was [happy] to see our team show toughness in bouncing back in singles.”
UNLV took losses in two of the three doubles matches. The third match went unfinished due to weather conditions, giving the Lumberjacks the edge early.
