UNLV will name Virginia Tech deputy athletic director Desiree Reed-Francois as its next athletic director, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.
Reed-Francois would replace Tina Kunzer-Murphy, who is set to join the UNLV Foundation when her contract expires June 30. A formal news conference to announce the hire is expected Tuesday. The Las Vegas Review-Journal was the first to report the hire.
Reed-Francois has spent the last three years with the Hokies, and most recently oversaw the football program and day-to-day operations of ticketing services, marketing and promotions, HokieVision, strategic communications, graphic design/publications, corporate development and IMG.
